Suzanne studied mime, theatre, contemporary dance and Bharatha Natyam, and worked as an actress in Italy and France for 10 years. After working in other fields for a few years, in 2002 she started searching for ways to reconnect. She became a shiatsu practitioner and started studying yoga and qi-gong.
In 2013 she qualified as Yoga Teacher with Soloyoga a.s.d.s. and reached her 500hrs in 2015.
While writing a short dissertation on Yoga and Disability for her teacher training, she read Matthew's book Waking, and discovered he was teaching in London that same year.
She had never experienced yoga in the way Matthew taught it, felt openness, connection, wholeness, and had a glimpse on how it was possible to share all this with everybody.
Since then she's attended Matthew’s workshops in London and Minnesota, completing the Level I&II Adapting Yoga for Everyone training and the Integrating Yogic Principles into Healthcare Delivery training at Mind Body Solutions.
Suzanne works as a yoga teacher in the area of Milano (Italy), offering regular, Accessible classes and private sessions for seniors and students living with health issues and disabilities.
She also develops and teaches modules that have become part of different yoga teacher trainings in Milan.
The modules are centred on helping teacher trainees listening and feeling what yoga poses reveal, to then be able to find ways to share those core, universal principles with students of all abilities, understanding that it is really possible for everyone to access them and to share humanity at a deep level, building a community.
